- PUBLIC HEARING
- Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments and input on the proposed Annual Budget of the City of Weston, Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2027; providing for the appropriation of funds for operating and capital expenditures for the same; ratifying a property tax revenue increase; authorizing the Mayor to execute certain intra-fund transfers pursuant to Texas Local Government Code § 102.010.
- Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments and input on the proposed 2026 Ad Valorem Tax Rate for the tax year 2026; apportioning/distributing each levy among the various funds for specific purposes; providing when taxes shall become due and when same shall become delinquent if not paid in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas; providing for a Penalty and Interest for Failure to Pay the Taxes Levied within the Time Provided by Law; Providing for a Lien on all Real and Personal Property to Secure Payment of Taxes Due Thereon.

- Consider, discuss, and act to approve an Ordinance No. O-2026-09-01 of the City Council of the City of Weston, Texas, providing for the adoption of the Annual Budget and providing for the appropriation of funds for operating and capital expenditures for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2027; ratifying a property tax revenue increase; authorizing the Mayor to execute certain intra-fund transfers pursuant to Texas Local Government Code § 102.010; providing for cumulative repealing, severability, and savings clauses; providing for an effective date.
- Consider, discuss, and act to approve a separate vote to ratify the property tax revenue increase reflected in the adopted Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget, as explicitly required by Texas Local Government Code § 102.007(c).
- Consider, discuss, and act to approve an Ordinance No. O-2026-09-02 Ordinance of the City of Weston, Collin County, Texas, providing for the levy of ad valorem taxes for the tax year 2026; apportioning/distributing each levy among the various funds for specific purposes; providing when taxes shall become due and when same shall become delinquent if not paid in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas; providing for a Penalty and Interest for Failure to Pay the Taxes Levied within the Time Provided by Law; Providing for a Lien on all Real and Personal Property to Secure Payment of Taxes Due Thereon; and providing a severability clause; providing a savings/repealing clause; providing for an effective date.
