What this body is

The Regional Transportation Council (RTC) is the independent transportation policy body of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metropolitan Planning Organization, housed within the North Central Texas Council of Governments. It is where elected officials across the 16-county Metropolitan Area make regional transportation decisions together: it selects and programs projects and allocates federal, state and regional transportation funding.
